Activated Carbon is a porous material that removes organic compounds, pollutants, contaminants and other impurities from liquids, gases, chemicals, metals, etc. Our diversed Product Portfolio ranges from Acid Washed Grade Activated Carbon, Unwashed Grade Activated Carbon, Granular Activated Carbon upto Powdered Grades of Activated Carbon. In addition to our vivid range of products, we also provide a varied choice in the manufacturing base of Activated Carbon. viz. Coconut Shell Based, Wood Based and Coal Based Activated Carbons.
Activated Carbon is commonly used to adsorb natural organic compounds, taste and odour compounds, and synthetic organic chemicals in drinking water treatment. Adsorption is both physical as well as chemical process of accumulating a substance at the interface between liquid and solids phases. Activated Carbon is an effective adsorbent owing to its high porosity and availability of a larger surface area for better and efficient contaminant adsorption. Activated Carbon is available as Powdered Activated Carbon (PAC) and Granular Activated Carbon (GAC).

Powdered Activated Carbon is made from organic materials with high carbon contents such as wood, lignite and coal. Manufactured by direct activation, powdered Activated Carbons have been specifically developed for the removal of a broad range of organic contaminants from potable, waste and process waters. They have a relatively smaller particle size when compared to granular Activated Carbons and consequently, present a large surface to volume ratio. PAC is used by water treatment plants on either a full time basis or as needed for taste and odor control or removal of organic chemicals. PAC can be fed as a powder using dry feed equipment or as a slurry using metering pumps. Dry feed systems are typically used for smaller dosages and where PAC feed is infrequent.

Powdered Acid Washed Activated Carbon is an extremely cost-effective means of maintaining the activity of Activated Carbon. Powdered Acid Washed Activated Carbon, manufactured out of our experienced proficiency, ensures effective, unhampered and prolonged applications. It is mainly used in the De- Contamination of food, water purification, beverages, and pharmaceutical applications. Powdered Unwashed Activated Carbon finds wide application in liquid phase application and basically used for removing undesired color, smell and other impurities. Our Un-washed Activated Carbon has extremely high and effective diffusion properties and a high degree of micro porosity. Powdered Unwashed Activated Carbon offered by us is an effective De-odouriser, De-Colouriser and holds excellent purification characteristics. Granular Activated Carbon has a relatively larger particle size compared to powdered Activated Carbon and consequently, presents a smaller external surface. Diffusion of the adsorbate is thus an important factor. These carbons are therefore preferred for all absorption of gases and vapors as their rate of diffusion are faster. Granulated carbons are used for water treatment, deodorization and separation of components of flow system and is also used in rapid mix basins. GAC can be either in granular or extruded form.

Our Pellet Activated Carbon is produced from Wood and Coconut Shell by high temperature steam activation and manufactured with suitable binders under stringent quality control. The absorption capacity of PAC makes it ideal for removing variety of contaminants from air and gas streams, recovery of solvents, and for evaporative emissions controls.
Extruded Activated Carbon for Vapor Phase can be used for the remediation of vapors generated, the removal of VOCs from the air, soil venting and removal of other organics such as ammonia, sulfur compounds, mercury, and amines.

Anthracite is a hard, compact variety of mineral coal which is highly lustrous. It has the highest carbon content, the fewest impurities, and the highest calorific content of all types of coal, including bituminous and lignite coal. Anthracite is the most metamorphosed type of coal, wherein the carbon content ranges from 92.1% to 98%. The term is applied to those varieties of coal which do not give off tarry or other hydrocarbon vapours when heated below their point of ignition. Anthracite ignites with difficulty and burns with a short, blue, and smokeless flame. Anthracite is categorized into standard grade, which is used mainly in power generation. High Grade (HG) and Ultra High Grade (UHG), the principal uses of which are in the metallurgy sector.
